NOK Oil Seals
Oil seals are mainly used for geared motors and automobile engines. The primary purpose of using oil seals is to prevent leakages from a rotating shaft.
Oil seals are also useful when it comes to preventing oil leakages due to dust intrusion from external air. Not only do they prevent leakages of lubricants, but they are also helpful in preventing chemicals, water, and gas from gaps in the equipment.
It is no surprise to tell you that oil seals, such as NOK seals are essential devices used in different fields, such as aircraft, boats, automobiles, railroad vehicles, ships, farm machinery, construction machinery, and household appliances.
Types and Features of NOK Oil Seals
The selection of standard oil seals is based on versatility, availability, and customer needs. In today’s article, we will talk about the types and features of NOK oil seals. Read on!
High Temperature , High Pressure Oil Seal
The high Temperature and high pressure oil seals are used in Hydro Motor, Pumps Seals
S-TYPE (SC and SB Type)
The S-type oils seals are used for dust-free applications. Usually, they have a maximum pressure of 0.03 MPa. You can use them for dust-free application with fluid sealed on one side. SA type is also there along with SM & SZ.
T-TYPE (TC and TB AND TA AND TF AND TM AND TZ
It is a type of standard NOK oil seal that is used for dusty environments. The maximum pressure T-type oil seals tolerate is 0.03 MPa. You can use these oil seals for various applications as they are good for fine dust duty on one side and sealing of fluid on the other side.
V-Type (VC and VB)
You can’t use V-Type oil seals for high-pressure applications. However, they are best for dust or grease seal. The interesting thing about V-type seals is that you can use them in combination with the S-type seals.
K-TYPE (KC and KB)
K-Type oil seals are useful for the dusty environment to seal grease. You can use these oil seals for sealing grease with smaller amounts of dust on the other side. Remember, for this purpose, you can also use two V-type oils seals.
TVC-TYPE
TVC-Type is another type of oil seal used for medium-pressure and small diameter rotating shafts. They are highly resistant to pressure and have increased lip rigidity. TVC-Type oil seals are useful for applications with high pressure.
T4-TYPE
T4-Type oil seals are an excellent choice for applications with reciprocating shafts. They are best for minimizing lip deformation, especially under the reciprocating pressure and motion.
J-TYPE
They are oil seals designed specifically for torque convertors, two-cycle engines, and washers. It has an ethylene tetrafluoride resin as a sealing edge that features state-of-the-art self-lubricity. J-Type oil seals are used in low friction torque or poor lubrication areas.
OC-TYPE
It is an oil seal with a rotating housing structure and best used for sealing grease. OC-Type oil seals have a sealing lip placed on the outer periphery and they are best used for rotating housing structures.
QLFY-TYPE
It is a unique type of oil seal used for a power tiller or axle of a tractor. This type of NOK oil seal is best used for separating oil and muddy water. The seal is used with a rubber sleeve, which leads to easy handling of the application.
Lastly, there are many other types of NOK oils seals, such as Z-type, VR-type, SBB type, large-diameter SB/TB type, MG-type, W-type, OKC3-type, MO, MOY, etc. Find more information on NOK oil seals.
